Vidya Balan has had an interesting journey in the film industry. After the television show Hum Paanch, Vidya Balan was all set to star in the Malayalam film Chakram, opposite Mohanlal. She was cast as the female lead in the film, however, the film was shelved due to production snags. After that, she was reportedly labeled as ‘bad luck’ down South. However, after Chakram was dropped, Vidya Balan made her Bollywood debut with the film Parineeta opposite Saif Ali Khan, after which, there was no looking back for her. Now, Vidya Balan has shared a major throwback picture from the set of Chakram, and the picture is too cute for words!

Vidya Balan took to her Instagram stories and shared the picture which was taken on the set of the Malayalam film Chakram, 20 years ago! In her caption, she mentioned that the film with Mohanlal later got shelved, and added that she didn’t look as bad as she imagined. Well, we think she looks absolutely beautiful in the picture with Mohanlal from two decades ago. In the picture, Vidya Balan can be seen looking effortlessly pretty in a simple maroon colored kurta with a dupatta. Vidya was all smiles, and had her hair tied back neatly in the picture.

Sharing the picture, she wrote, “TBT 2000 ... pic taken on the set of my 1st Malayalam film #Chakram with @mohanlal!! The film got shelved after the 1st schedule ... Not looking as bad as I imagined I did!!” Take a look:
Vidya Balan was last seen in the film Shakuntala Devi, which released on Amazon Prime Video. Before this, she had starred in the short film Natkhat, which was also co-produced by her. The short film had its world premiere at the We Are One: A Global Film Festival in June.
